Two West Aussie Icons, Little Creatures Pale & Feral Hop Hog IPA.

Little Creatures Pale Ale has become an iconic beer in Western Australia in only a few short years. A pint or two of this very pleasant beer together with a bowl of frites at Little Creatures in freo is a great relaxing way to spend a sunny afternoon.

Brewed with Galaxy & Cascade Hops and malted largely with a local west Australian Pale Malt, this beer has a lovely balanced flavour. Citrus hop aroma, smooth malty mouth feel and a slightly bitter finish. A very good tasty beer, better on tap but still good out of the stubbie!

Will buy again frequently, in fact I have a carton under the stairs right now!

SCORE 4.1
Feral Brewery at Baskerville in the Swan Valley (a wine growing area) is different in character to Little creatures, outdoor areas with lawns, ubiquitous tasting tray of beers but still a good menu.

This beer is styled around American IPA's. It has a pine & citrus hop aroma and taste with a bitter quite dry finish. This is a terrific effort at an American style IPA but lacks some of the complexity of the better IPA's and at 5.8% ABV some of the kick!

Don't get me wrong , this is a very good IPA and I will buy again, 4 pack in the fridge right now!
