You would expect a beer called "Hopsickle" to be quite hoppy and this one is. Brewed by Californian craft brewers
Moylan's using Tomahawk, Chinook and Anthanum hops, this ale is a typical example of a good American double IPA.
Pours a dark slightly cloudy amber with a modest head and slight carbonation. It has a pleasant pine/citrus hop aroma, nice hoppy flavour with some malty smoothness and that bitter hop finish that I love.
A very good double IPA.
