New Norcia Abbey Ale - Australia (ABV 7%)

Brewed by the Lion Nathan owned James Squire Malt Shovel brewery.

Pours a light amber colour with only a small quickly dissipating head. Has a sweet malty/banana/yeasty aroma. It does smell like a Belgian yeast strain has been used.

Subtle flavours and a hint of bitterness at the finish. Nice enough beer that is very easy drinking. I would prefer something with a little more flavour.

St. Feuillien Blonde - Belgium

Typical Belgian Blonde with that unmistakable Belgium yeasty aroma. I love that big chunky head squeezing out of the top of the glass.
This is a very easy to drink beer very slight hop bitterness but overwhelmingly malty Belgian ale. I have tasted better Belgium blonde's but this is a very good quite highly regarded example. Quite a healthy 7.5% ABV in a very refreshing easy to drink ale.
