It pours a lovely chocolate brown and has a spicy roasted malt aroma. It has only a slight head and a medium carbonation. The adjuncts really add flavour to this spicy, chocolaty and very tasty ale. Despite drinking this beer during a hot southern hemisphere Christmas it really did give me seasonal cheer. This would be a great winter warmer (in a mulled wine kind of way) in a northern Christmas.
A very good, very tasty spicy winter ale.
